Gone Fishing

The first of 4 fish they caught, I mean , 44 fish they caught.
This one weighed at least 14 pounds!
Happy with his catch
Serious Fisherman
Happy Fisherman
(He is always happy when he is fishing)
This is how Redding passed the time...
Dennis stumbled upon a wonderful place to take the boys fishing the other day. At this point just Leyton, Redding isn't quited ready yet! Leyton is already a fisherman and a golf lover...what more could a proud papa ask for?

Happy Graduation to Dr. Daddy

Though Dennis completed his doctorate in August, his actual graduation was not until May 8th. Mimi and Geep came to visit and we had a great weekend.

The tassel was much too exciting to look at the camera.
Our attempt at a family photo. Fail. It was like the Simpsons.
We managed a couple photo though!
Mimi and Geep cooperated for the camera as well!

Holy Moly

Holy Moly...what a weekend! I don't even know where to begin. So I won't :(

But I will tell you that I tentatively have a little free time in the next day or so. I will TRY to get caught up with my posts. I have quite a few things to post so stay tuned (Egg hunts, attack on chocolate eggs by Redding, swimming, soccer, and just a few pics of some really cute boys. Heck, I may even throw in a few stories).

...but until then, here are a few current pictures

Yeah, YOU try to convince a three-year old that the shin guards go UNDER his socks.

Riding along in my automobile....

I thought rabbits ate carrots...

I wonder what color the chickens will be...

Leyton making a game plan

"Mommy, this crayon is broken!"

"Redzilla, stay back!"

Everything had to be re-dipped in blue...

The whole dozen

Which is your favorite?
Aah, Easter eggs! Leyton is finally old enough to really participate in the process of dying eggs. He did a great job even though he wanted to dye them all blue! Our fingers may be multicolored for a few days (hopefully my patients won't mind)!

The thought of an Easter egg hunt brings up good memories from my childhood. My family always had wacky places to hide eggs and I am sure that Dennis will not disappoint the boys in the future. Until they are old enough though, we will stick to bushes and car bumpers.

Check back again later for pictures of our hunt!

Happy Birthday Geep

Geep and LeytonGeep needed a little extra help with those candlesYeah, remind me again whose birthday it was...I wanted to help with the candles too!UMMMM, ice cream!
We took a whirlwind trip to North Carolina this past weekend for Geep's birthday. We left EARLY on Friday morning and came home late Sunday night. Everyone enjoyed the trip and was on their best behavior during the travels, more or less.

Leyton has become a professional traveler. He pulls his own Lightning McQueen suitcase and knows when it is time to take off his shoes. When Leyton arrives to his seat on the airplane, he must instantly put on his seat belt and hold my hand VERY tightly until we are airborne. He does great.
Redding mostly wants to crawl up and down the aisle. Not such a good thing.
Leyton and Redding (Dennis, too :) do very well flying. It is not something that is at the top of my list of fun things to do but it is tolerable. The best trick out of my bag this flight was a slinky. Leyton LOVED it. It kept him occupied for a good 30 minutes.
Again, Happy birthday GEEP! We love you!

Snow day = Art day

We have had our share of snow this year. In order to pass the time and avoid cabin fever, we had to get creative. Leyton and I pulled out the paints and had a party!
A few of our masterpieces
Exhausted after a day of extreme painting Cheesing for the camera
Take my picture

Oh, yeah, we stayed in our pajamas all day. That is what snow days are for, right?
