Taking the animals to the Animal Kingdom!

Everest!
I think this was the favorite of the roller coasters we rode.
Leyton rode it twice and Redding is looking forward to riding it the "next time" we go to Disney.

Hippo yawn!

My favorite animal sighting, by far!

Is that giraffe going to get us?

Bug's Life!
Redding doesn't look very happy…because he isn't.
This was not his cup of tea.
He cried.
Mostly because of the smell.
And the smoke.
And the loud noise.
Nothing about this made him happy.
He did, however, like "Kali River Rapids".
We were completely soaked and freezing, because it was a cold, rainy day.
He was happy though.

Dennis and I preferred "The Lion King".

Our first day!

While we usually make a visit to the beach during September track-out,
this year we decided to go BIGGER!
The boys are the perfect ages for a visit to Disney.
So that's what we did.
We packed our suitcases, boarded a plane, and spent a week in Orlando.
Three days at the Magic Kingdom, one day at Hollywood Studios,
and one day at Animal Kingdom makes for one tired family.
No doubt, we needed a vacation from this vacation when we got home.

Enjoy a few of our memories.

On our way…

On the ferry…

WE MADE IT!

We had a bird stalking us during lunch…

This is Redding's favorite photo face

This is what one day at the Magic Kingdom does to a 4 year old and a 6 year old!

And a little pool relaxation!

Paging Dr. Thomas…Dr. Redding Thomas

Redding is doing his round and making sure everyone has a healthy heart!
Actually, he likes to listen to digestive noises.
They're funnier.

Swim Team Banquet

To finish out the swim team season, we have a banquet.
I was very ready for the banquet to arrive because Redding would not stop asking "Mommy, is today swim team banquet day?  I want my medal.  Is it the next day...the next day...the next day..."

Redding getting his medal from Coach JT

And Leyton, a little less enthusiastic...

Very happy to finally get his medal.
Leyton wouldn't pose for a photo.  He is too cool for that these days.

Swim Team Time!

Our neighborhood has a swim team and it is so much fun for the boys.  This is Leyton's second year so he is becoming more competitive and was swimming in main events in every meet.  Redding started the year very hesitant but quickly caught on.  He only swam in 2 meets but he seemed to really enjoy it.  Next season should be loads of fun!

Waiting patiently for their turn to swim

Still waiting.  And getting a pep talk from Mommy.
