Leaving on a jetplane...
Silly Boys

The Thomas Family took a trip to the west coast! I had to fly solo to San Francisco with the boys because Dennis was already there for business.
The boys were fantastic on the airplane, I could not have asked for better behavior!
Thank you Leyton and Redding.
Also, thank you Trader Joe's and Whole Foods for the wonderful snacks. And thank you Sarah Markwell for the Leapster. And thank you matchbox and hot wheels for entertaining my sweet boys for 7 hours on an airplane. And THANK YOU car seat for making Redding feel safe when he was about to have a meltdown.
I was hesitant about taking Redding's car seat on the airplane because I had so much stuff to carry already (READ: Diaper bag, purse, car seat, stroller, carry on, Leyton's backpack). As we arrive at the gate, Redding did not want to get on the airplane. Complete meltdown at the door of the airplane. Imagine me with my hands full of ...stuff, trying to get us all on the plane. And Redding is melting, melting down. Finally, we get on the airplane, I get the car seat strapped in (Redding still screaming, people staring) and the only thing that calmed him down was "my seat, my seat, my seat".
Thank you, car seat. You saved my life that day!
Hopefully, you will never have to save another one.

For The Love of Soccer
NC State hosted a soccer clinic!
Leyton had a blast!

Leyton is enjoying soccer this year, especially since Dennis is the coach! The soccer league is a little unorganized (to say the least) so we were suckered into being the parent coaches
(though I have done very little "coaching")
The experience has been great though I am not sure we will do it again for this league. I love being "team mom" but the coaching thing is a bit out of my league
considering I never played an organized sport).
Dennis, Mr. IvenevermetasportIcouldn'tplay, is doing a great job and the parents love him!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...
Leyton is SERIOUSly enjoying the inflatable play gym...
Oh, So, Sleepy Redding...
Our neighbor Lilly enjoying the presence of the Easter Bunny. Redding and Leyton wanted NOTHING to do with him...
Brothers
It is so hard to get a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a 2 1/2 year old to look at the camera at the same time...
Take 4089...
Still very sleepy...
Leyton and Geep, Patiently waiting for the Easter Egg Hunt to start.
Leyton and Mommy
CHEESE!
Finally some sleep for Redding.
Our town had a pretty awesome Easter Egg Hunt this past weekend. We attended with Mimi, Geep and our neighbors (Gill, Yogi, and Lilly).
The boys had a blast and got WAY too much candy.
The weather was perfect and today was the "Rain Check" day.
After the tornado's we had yesterday, we were happy to have such beautiful weather!

Up... Up... and Away
This is what a little boy looks like after his prized Harris Teeter balloon floats away into the unknown...
Redding having sympathy pains
Isn't this the saddest boy you have ever seen?
Fortunately, Leyton has awesome grandparents and they took him back to Harris Teeter for a replacement balloon.
Unfortunately, Redding then squeezed all the air out of his balloon and wanted another one.
The Bottom Line:
Balloons are only a temporary source of happiness.
Avoid at all costs.
