Leyton's First Race

My annual (No) turkey trot but this year, I had a running partner (at least for some of the race).
Leyton ran with me!
It was quite a cold morning for a run!
Redding was our #1 cheerleader and handled the 28 degree weather like a pro.

Leyton ran the 1-mile race.
Here he is coming up to the finish line!

He saved a little juice to sprint it out!

After Leyton's 1-mile race, I ran an 8k.
It was cold but everyone survived!

Now time to go and eat some pumpkin pie!

13.1

I ran in another half today and I was cheered on by this awesome fan club!

Alyssa and I almost at the finish line...

WooHoo!  All done!
Alyssa and I ran together the entire way!
We finished in 1hour 48 minutes and I placed 4th in my age group.
Ah, the race was the easy part...
Many of our long training runs in 30 degree weather,
sometimes complete with wind and rain (how lucky were we??)
Frozen hands, feet, and unexplained ankle gashes were had.
It's hard to find a training partner that you don't mind running in those conditions with
...and that will actually run in those conditions with you.

Who doesn't love Photo Booth?

So, I am way behind on posts but I will get caught up.

In the meantime, I thought I would post something to make you smile.

Fun with the Mac.

Ah, Photo Booth!

It's rough turning 29...again...

Dennis, Leyton, Redding, Mimi, and Geep had a very nice birthday party for me.

Yummy cupcakes from my favorite bakery

A beautiful (amber) necklace was one of my gifts

Mimi and Geep enjoying the birthday festivities

 What wonderful helpers!
Ok.  So I am not 29...but 32 isn't so bad either....

Spring is here!

Spring is here!  Nothing says that better than an Easter egg hunt!

Redding getting ready to pounce!

Leyton, Mommy, and Redding

Wow!  A Family picture!

"Mommy, look at me!  I'm a basket head!"

And they're off...

Very excited about his Lolly...

Waiting his turn now...

Running the bases after the egg hunt.
I think he will be safe.
He is pretty fast.

We caved and let them have a snow cone.
Unfortunately, they did not have the clear flavors.
Boo.
And of course, Leyton wanted blue raspberry.

Redding got watermelon flavor.

It was a fun day.  Blue mouths and all.
