A narcissus in the making?

Redding has discovered mirrors and loves admiring himself in them. If I were as cute as he is, I probably wouldn't take my eyes off of me either!

Beavis and Butthead

There is never a dull moment in our house...

but I too cute...

The other day, Leyton was looking a little mischievous as he was trying to break into the pantry. I asked him what he was doing and he replied, "Want orange treat" (meaning orange M&M's). I explained what he already knew, that he only get treats when he does something that warrants a treat (pee pee in the potty, etc). His response to this was "but I too cute, Mommy. Leyton need treat!" How do I say no to that??

Visitors!

Mimi and Geep came to visit for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time! The boys enjoyed having the grandparents around to spoil them. Leyton played lots of golf and Redding enjoyed having someone to hold him at all times. Thanks Mimi and Geep for a great weekend!

Leyton the Clown

Leyton loves this clown nose! We got this clown nose when we went to the "Big Apple Circus" a few months ago. It has been a fixture in our house (or on Leyton's face) since then. Leyton will put the ball between his knees and beg daddy help him ring the basketball goal. He has gotton pretty good at it!
Let's hope we don't see this too much in the future!
Redding, just relaxing.

Big Helper

This is Leyton's idea of helping Mommy do laundry! He made a "train track" with the hangers. Clever kid! He is also being a good babysitter for Mommy by helping her with Redding!

Sweet Hair

Not quite sure what this face is...Is he doing a crab walk?

Leyton is adamant about NOT having his hair cut! The mention of a haircut puts him into a tantrum, which involves holding his hair screaming "NO HAIRCUT, MY HAIR". So until we come up with a solution, Leyton has the sweetest hair of any two-year old I know!

Awesome big brother

I have to take a few minutes to write a few things about Leyton. We were not sure how he was going to do with a new baby in the house. However, he has been AMAZING! He LOVES LOVES "weddeng", though he simply calls him "baby brother". Leyton gives him hugs and lots of kisses. Jealousy does occur but not nearly as often as we thought.

Aside from being very sweet with Redding, Leyton has also become very nurturing towards others. The other day he accidently dropped his milk cup on my foot. He said "Leyton sorry Mommy" and then he leaned down and kissed my toe (they were clean, not to worry).

We are enjoying the time now because we know that in a few years, the peace and courtesy between the boys may end, especially when Redding can talk back and take Leyton's toys!
