Sometimes, it is just better to do it yourself

Redding is into helping with everything these days and sometimes I use it to my advantage. He needed a diaper change so I asked him to go upstairs and get a diaper and the wipes. Redding brought me the wipes and the bag that the diapers are packaged in.

Empty.

Upon investigation, this is what I found...
So proud of himself...

A Lonely Redding in a Basket

But I think he may like it that way.
We saw what happened last time he shared a basket with Leyton...

Helping Daddy with Yard Work

While I was working today, Dennis did a little yard work.
Leyton and Redding helped Dennis rake leaves.
And then they un-raked them for him.
Such good helpers.

Bend It Like Leyton II

Going for the goalThat was a bad call coachWhat, I can't hear you, what did you say...Redding just chilling at the game
Redding getting bundled up for the game
As the soccer season comes to an end (not a day too soon. It is getting cold!), we are wondering what Leyton is going to do with all his extra energy. Leyton has so much energy and soccer has been a great outlet.
I guess I am going to have to learn to play soccer.
Or take him running with me.

Leyton-ing McQueen

Leyton and Coach Pete. Go Leyton!!!I wonder what they talk about... A few of their team members. Leyton got a lot of play this day!

This soccer season has been amazing. Leyton has really figured out the game and is pretty good (if I can say so myself). He understands how to pass the ball, take the ball (sometimes from his own team members. Oops), and he definitely understands how to score! One game he scored 10 goals by himself!
At the risk of bragging even more, most of the kids on his team (and on the teams he plays against) are a year older than him. You can tell how much bigger some of the kids are in the pictures.

Most impressive: He is fast. Lightning Fast.

Just a little about the Zilla

I think he wanted down

Redding is growing up VERY quickly. His vocabulary has just EXPLODED lately. His favorite thing to say is "Mama Dada" which he says repetitively throughout the day. He also answers "yes" to everything, which is very comical at times.
Redding is very loving (this isn't just coming from me, they tell me almost daily at daycare) and very active. When he and Leyton aren't fighting, they play very well together. Redding actually understands the act of play now so that helps keep Leyton happy.
Potty training is still a work in progress.
For now, we are still huggies is still making a fortune off of us.

A Tisket, A Tasket, Two Boys in a Basket

It always starts out as so much fun

Oh, how quickly things go downhill!

The Incredible Flying Leyton

Leyton entertaining himself. And us.

Leyton and Redding's idea of doing laundry

It is amazing how well the boys can entertain themselves.
Just give them a basket (or 2) of clean laundry and let them go.
Unfortunately, I don't iron (unless I absolutely HAVE to)
so most of these clothes saw the inside of the dryer again.
Watch Out!
GERONIMO!Off the top ropeLeyton and Redding telling me how many loads of laundry I have left to washOh so happy! 1..2..3...JUMPAGAIN!I don't think I want to jump with you again Leyton
We'll see about that, Redding.
