Trying to catch the big one, again.

Happy with his catch
Trying to catch the big one Reddding is NOT impressed
Doing the dirty work
Having a snackFishing has become a regular occurance around here. Leyton loves it and Dennis, well, loves it too!

Redding and I stroll around the lake, trying to avoid the mosquitos, usually eating something. Snacks are the key to a successful trip anywhere.

Lending a Helping Hand

Leyton has really stepped up to the plate and has become a really good big brother to Redding.
Don't get me wrong, we have our moments. The fight, they pull hair, they punch, they manipulate, they fight for Mommy's affection, they fight for Daddy's attention, and they have learned the art of manipulation.
However, they do play well together. They love each other. They snuggle and give each other hugs and kisses. They hold hands. They are wonderful.
Leyton tries to help me as much as he can. On this occasion, he thought I could use help feeding Redding.
Open Wide...Here comes the airplane...

OhOhOh...Too much!
The airplane has landed Yum!

A Visit to the Big Apple

Leyton was a little scared of the dinosaurswell, except the little ones Redding was happy as can be riding aroundMommy and Redding In Central Park Daddy and Redding Finding something amusing in the waterCheese
Can you believe it?! Everyone was looking?!
Even though we live within an hour of New York, we don't go in often. I love going into the city but the boys have a different opinion.
We weren't able to do too much considering the need for naps (adults included). We visited the Museum of Natural History, Central Park, had lunch, walked around Time Square (which I quite enjoyed the pedestrian only area), and then headed home. A nice fun-filled morning.

Life's a beach!

It is hard to believe that he is coordinated enough to do this now! I will not smile at you or even acknowledge your existenceWell, I was able to make one of them smile (I think I had to bribe him with something though)!Throwing rocksCheese! This is the only way I make it into the family photo album! A present for meHumm...
We are fortunate enough to live near the beach and visit as we please. Connecticut beaches are nothing like the sugar-sand gulf coast beaches we grew up going to, but, it is a beach! The boys enjoy the playground but most of all, being able to throw rocks and not get in trouble!

Bend it like...Leyton

Today marked Leyton's last soccer game for the season, which was made complete with a trophy. Leyton really enjoyed himself this season so we hope he is interested in playing again in the fall. Most kids were 4, making Leyton one of the smallest and youngest kid on the team . He was a trooper and made the best of it anyway!

HE SHOOTS! HE SCORES!
Now the hard part...ball retrieval!
Hydrating
Posing with his biggest fan
(next to Mommy, of course)Receiving his trophy
A proud moment CHEESE! The Team Redding's idea of being a supportive fan

Gone Fishing

The first of 4 fish they caught, I mean , 44 fish they caught.
This one weighed at least 14 pounds!
Happy with his catch
Serious Fisherman
Happy Fisherman
(He is always happy when he is fishing)
This is how Redding passed the time...
Dennis stumbled upon a wonderful place to take the boys fishing the other day. At this point just Leyton, Redding isn't quited ready yet! Leyton is already a fisherman and a golf lover...what more could a proud papa ask for?
