Ahoy, Matey!

Leyton was invited (by his friend, Ryan) to attend a pirate themed play date. The boys came home with pirate hats (that they made themselves), swords, eye patches, and a bag full of goodies! We played games and even had a pinata! This play date takes all other play dates to a whole other level!

Day 2 Myrtle Beach Trip - Beach Time!

Is he hugging him or trying to strangle him?

Getting some exercise. They do not know how to walk on the beach. It is all out or nothing!
Digging for sand fleas. They found many! A Sand Flea for Mommy!

Very proud of his find

This was not the biggest one we found! They were huge!A nice shell...still alive and kicking though! The boys liked watching them dig back into the sand.

Day 2 Myrtle Beach Trip - Mini Golf Time!

So happy after a hole-in-one!

Going for it...

And he makes it!
Leyton takes his golf game seriously!

Redding got a hole-in-one too! It was a successful day for all!

Day 1 Myrtle Beach Trip - Beach and Pool Time!

Leyton LOVED the water slide at the water park. He must have gone down the slide a hundred times a day...at least!

Redding, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with the slide, or the water park in general. He only wanted to go to the "baby pool".

The beach was a BIG hit this year. No fear of the water or of the sand. We played in the water, built sandcastles and dug for sand fleas. There were GIANT sand fleas this year and the boys would dig them up and give them to the girls on the beach. Fun times.

Go Redding!
This was the best we could do!

There were hundreds of these tiny frogs all over the course! The boys were fascinated by them!
We took a mini vacation to Myrtle Beach and we had a blast. The boys are at such good ages now. We spent the morning at the water park (on resort grounds) and the beach, headed back to the room for an afternoon nap (or an afternoon workout for Mommy), and after dinner, we usually played a little mini golf. Then, back to the beach for a little more running around. Our days were full but very fun.

Everyone slept very well!
