Just Beachy

Gill, Yogi, and Lilly and the Thomas Troop took a trip to the beach.
Our days were filled with trips to the pool...and then to the beach...and then back to the pool.
Our evenings were filled with food, miniature golf, go-carts, and more beach.
Our nights were filled (after putting the kids to bed) playing card games and eating more food.

There was plenty of sunshine, even though the forecast called for rain daily.

Enjoying the pirate pool

Yep, Redding is trying to bite Leyton

Who is having more fun?

I am not sure who thought it was a good idea to let the
boys have a lollipop that is almost bigger than their heads...
Sticky did not even begin to describe this.

Beautiful Ms. Lilly

On the last night of our trip, Redding and Lilly ended up in the pool, fully clothed.
It was really cute, and they knew it too!

We are looking forward to more trips to the beach in the future.
Maybe next time we will get pictures of the adults too!

It's rough turning 29...again...

Dennis, Leyton, Redding, Mimi, and Geep had a very nice birthday party for me.

Yummy cupcakes from my favorite bakery

A beautiful (amber) necklace was one of my gifts

 What wonderful helpers!
Ok.  So I am not 29...but 32 isn't so bad either....

The end of soccer season

Another wonderful soccer season.  Leyton had a blast and still really enjoys soccer.
We will see what happens next spring when he has to decide between soccer and baseball.
Decisions, decisions.

He says that a Mohawk makes him look tough.  And it makes him run faster.

Team party and trophy time.

Coach Paul said the same thing this year as last year...
"Leyton is something special.
A kid we are going to have to keep an eye on.
He is going places".

I agree with Coach Paul.

Goofing Off

So, my camera does pretty fancy things.
I don't know how to do any of them.  I think I need to take a class or something.
I did stumble upon the black/white setting as well as the blue setting.
The boys and I had a little fun.
Although Leyton wasn't super happy to be my model, he came around.
Redding, not so much.

The only two pictures I was able to get of Redding.

Bird Feeders!

To celebrate spring, we decided to do an outdoor craft.
All we needed was pine cones (which we have plenty of those in stock),
peanut butter, birdseed, and a little string.
 And birds.
We have plenty of those too.

Leyton hard at work

Redding's version of working hard.  Eating the peanut butter.

Unfortunately, I don't think the birds ate any of the seeds.
I think the squirrels carried the feeders away before the birds had a chance.
At least someone was fed.
