Where did the time go?! The little one is 3!
What to say about my (our) dear Redding...
-He is very sweet
-He loves to run, play with his brother, and fight.
-Did I mention he likes to fight. I think martial arts is in his near future.
-He loves to snuggle and give hugs but NO kisses. I can only place my lips on his head. No pucker.
-He could eat black olives and guacamole all day, every day.
-He is very good at playing independently but also plays well with others.
-He loves his monster trucks and hot wheels.
-He loves to sing, especially while taking a bath.
-He has a sweet tooth. A giant one.
-He wants a super hero cape with Super Redding on it. He wants to protect the world.
-He refers to himself as "Regular Redding", "Super Redding", "Mr. Cool", or the "Red Dragon". He decides in the morning who he will be for the day. "Today, Mommy, I will be Mr. Cool" (and then he puts on his sunglasses).
-He is very, very cute. The girls love him.

Present Time!
Being that it was February, we decided to have the boys birthday party at our house. The weather was nice so we were able to play a few games on our screened in porch. We had about 10 kids in attendance and that was just enough. We played games, had a pinata, and ate.
The boys had a great time and really enjoyed having all their friends at their house. We had their trains set up in the playroom and some of the kids played in there for a while while the others played basketball on the porch. We also did a craft. I purchased little wooden cars at Michael's and we colored them. The kids took those home as part of their treat bags. We still have them out decorating our living room.
The day was busy but fun was had.
They are officially 3 and 5.
Well, after the 22nd.

Golf Time
Did you really think the Thomas Family would go on vacation without some type of golf?
The only picture I was able to get of Redding.
He had a mini-meltdown because he wanted an ice cream/potato chips/junk food
from the driving range counter.
He refused to participate in any further activities.
Nice Swing!
This driving range was featured in the movie "There's Something about Mary".
So the owner told us. A few times.
I guess the boys got a little history lesson while we were away.

Lonely time with Mommy
While the other boys took a post rainy day nap,
Leyton and I headed to the beach for a little time together.
We did lots of races. Lots and lots of races.
And we enjoyed this beachfront playground.
A Rainy Day at the Beach
We did experience one bad weather day while at the beach.
So, we headed to the indoor playground.
As you can see, the boys had a blast.
This slide was HUGE!
The boys would fly out of the tunnel like a speeding bullet!
Giant Smiles!
Redding's first time down was a huge success...
He was a little hot on the landing...
Cheese!
(Got to love Redding in the background)
Attempting the rock wall
Looking pretty impressive
We made the best of our rainy beach day.

Wow! Now he is 5!
Since we were at the beach for Leyton's birthday, he ate his birthday breakfast in the hotel.
When they found out it was his birthday, they brought him a muffin equipped with a candle and this awesome birthday box to put his goodies in.
He did not even care that they spelled his name wrong.
He felt very special, just as he should feel on his birthday.
The birthday boy, playing Angry Birds on his birthday.
Dennis and Leyton were out for part of the afternoon so Redding
and I took it upon ourselves to decorate the hotel room.
We even decorated the hotel room door.
Birthday Dinner.
Redding obviously did not want his picture taken.
A little about Leyton..
.
He is in preschool 3 1/2 days a week and will start kindergarten in July! He is in love with numbers, nascar, sports, running, and his Wii. He has to do 2 workbook pages per day (usually math) in order to earn 30 minutes on his Wii. He has been obsessed with MarioKart but he is slowly starting to play the other games as well.
He is a decent eater but I still have to beg him to eat at times. Leyton's favorite dish(es) would be either Lentil soup, red curry lentils, red curry sauce with rice, fresh guacamole with rice and beans, noodles and chili, and salad with Italian dressing. Oh, and garbanzo beans. Anything with garbanzo beans. He loves to snack on pistachios, almonds, walnuts, apples, popcorn, and of course, potato chips.
He makes friends pretty well but he is a little shy. He loves his brother. He and Redding play very well, until they don't! They play hard and fight harder. They are very protective of each other and seem to stick together.
His favorite toys would still be trains, cars, monster trucks, sports equipment, and any outdoor toys.
He is growing up so fast and I am happy to be here to watch it.
I am honored to be his mom.
He is growing into a nice young...boy.
We also had a joint birthday party for both of the boys once we got back home.
Those pictures are to come...
