Wow! Now he is 5!

Since we were at the beach for Leyton's birthday, he ate his birthday breakfast in the hotel.
When they found out it was his birthday, they brought him a muffin equipped with a candle and this awesome birthday box to put his goodies in.
He did not even care that they spelled his name wrong.
He felt very special, just as he should feel on his birthday.

The birthday boy, playing Angry Birds on his birthday.

Dennis and Leyton were out for part of the afternoon so Redding
and I took it upon ourselves to decorate the hotel room.
We even decorated the hotel room door.

Birthday Dinner.
Redding obviously did not want his picture taken.
In his defense, it was past bedtime and he had a big day.

A little about Leyton..
.
He is in preschool 3 1/2 days a week and will start kindergarten in July!  He is in love with numbers, nascar, sports, running, and his Wii.  He has to do 2 workbook pages per day (usually math) in order to earn 30 minutes on his Wii.  He has been obsessed with MarioKart but he is slowly starting to play the other games as well.

He is a decent eater but I still have to beg him to eat at times.  Leyton's favorite dish(es) would be either Lentil soup, red curry lentils, red curry sauce with rice, fresh guacamole with rice and beans, noodles and chili, and salad with Italian dressing.  Oh, and garbanzo beans.  Anything with garbanzo beans.  He loves to snack on pistachios, almonds, walnuts, apples, popcorn, and of course, potato chips.

He makes friends pretty well but he is a little shy.  He loves his brother.  He and Redding play very well, until they don't!  They play hard and fight harder.  They are very protective of each other and seem to stick together.

His favorite toys would still be trains, cars, monster trucks, sports equipment, and any outdoor toys.

He is growing up so fast and I am happy to be here to watch it.
I am honored to be his mom.
He is growing into a nice young...boy.

We also had a joint birthday party for both of the boys once we got back home.
Those pictures are to come...
